User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGrowing up in Beaver Co., the Brighton Hot Dog Shop was my favorite place to eat. When my husband and I travel back to PA from our home in Florida,our first stop from the airport is the Brighton Hot Dog Shop either in Beaver, or New Brighton.
Their hot dogs, chili and fries can't be beat! There is no hot dog in the entire state of Florida, that even comes close.
The Brighton Hot Dog Shop gets a 5 star rating!!-

doc was right on about the dogs the nathans are much better they seemed to have gone down hill in the past few years gotten smaller chili is still good they need to get a better dog like nathans even if they have to raise the prices the fries are getting bad too smaller and no taste i deal at the nb shop fries are small and no meat to them try ones at marbuls for a good plump fry and not little. must be buying a cjeap dog and fries and keeping prices up their chili pasta is very good little less than avg

I really can't see what all the fuss over this place is about. It's not bad, but nothing to get excited over. I tried their namesake hot dog, and it was just that-a run of the mill dog. No different from a dog in a quickie mart. I was expecting something in the same league as Nathan's. Now THAT is a real hot dog! There are plenty of Nathan's franchises springing up at many Bruster's locations in the area. Try a Nathan's dog, and then tell me what is so terrific about a Brighton's dog. I also tried their burger. Better than a typical McD or BK, but nothing like a Gab and Eat burger. I have to admit though-the soup is very tasty, and the small size is quite filling. The milkshake was nothing special. Typical fast food fare. Maybe the original location is better. I tried the one in Greentree.
