The bar tender was very rude from the moment we sat down. Later tried charging a round that a friend of mine was trying to buy to my tab ( which was already rung out). When I told her I had paid she said she put it on my other friends who just wanted to pay for her dinner. All the while my friend was still trying to pay since he is the one who was buying the round. We were still very polite knowing she was rud., We thought maybe she was just having a bad day. Later told my friend she could not have another beer because she was visibly intoxicated, which was not the case at all. She was going threw a ruff time and that was the last thing she needed. I'm a 34 year old mother and have been there done that with the bar scene. I could not believe this was happening. We were not rude, obnoxious, we tipped, were polite even with the attitude. Of course I asked why she thought she was intoxicated. She did not slur, spill her drink, wasn't stubbling, didn't fall off her bar stool, , not loud or obnoxious, and truely didn't have that much to drink. I was told it's the law. ?????? Got not explanation as to why she thought that. It was completely rediculous. I own a business myself and the way we were treated from start to finish was completely unacceptable. I would never hire an employee with such utter disreguard for the patrons. I am totally for not serving someone who IS visibly intoxicated, but this was unreal. After putting up with the attitude all night, (and still tipping), the charging drinks to someone elses tab, (and getting an attitude for correcting it), then telling us our friend can't be served, was too much for a night that was supposed to be fun and take my friends mind off her troubles. It was embarrassing to say the least. I spent time at bars in my younger days where myself or a friend probably should not have been served, this was NOT one of those times. The rudeness before alone was more than enough. I wish I would have got the bartenders name, but I didn't. Someone this miserable and out right nasty should not be in a profession that deals with the public and works for tips. But hey, we tipped her. Anyway that was my rare night out. Thanks to Zooky's I don't think I'll be doing it again soon. When I do, I WON"T GO TO ZOOKY'S.( Unless I here the mean one got fired. lol ) Even then I won't be back. A place that doesn't take care when hiring, or have someone there to handle these types of employees, I don't want to spend my hard earned money in.
