About:Pittsburgh sportscaster Myron Cope's favorite expression, Yoy, inspired Kazansky's Restaurant and Delicatessen to name several of their sandwiches the Yoy, Double Yoy and Triple Yoy. Each is built around corned beef. Another favorite is The Marv Albert, which is beef tongue and swiss on pumpernickel bread. The deli is a favorite in Squirrel Hill's Jewish community and is usually crowded for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant serves only beer, no other alcohol.

I highly recommend the Rueben. Extremely filling, but does not fall apart and the contents are the highest quality. 2 thumbs up for Kazansky’s Delicatessen!

I grew up on Kazansky's. My parents would buy it by the pound, along with a loaf of fresh baked rye bread and a whole kosher dill pickle. I am a native Pittsburgher now residing in NJ. Kazansky's has the best corned beef sandwich beating out the common competition in the northeast ( Katz Deli and Stage Deli in NY). I tried Katz and the Stage Deli because they are the famous deli's that are always talked about on the Food Network and by the NY natives. Well, I tried them both and neither one compare to Kazansky's Deli in Squirrel Hill. The corned beef is heated, sliced thin, and seasoned perfectly. The bread is always fresh, and unlike the other two famous deli's, the pickles taste like kosher dill pickles. (The others taste like cucumbers) Everytime I am in the Burgh I have to buy a sandwich to either eat in or take home. Sometimes I even buy the corned beef by the pound and the heel of the rye bread that is sold in the restaurant and make my own sandwiches. KAZANSKY's, HANDS DOWN, HAS THE BEST CORNED BEEF IN THE UNITED STATES !!! No one can compare!
