I have been shopping at Atlantis since 2006. I purchased a saltwater tank, live sand and live rock from the store and set it up according to the advice of the owner. I followed all of his expert advice and my tank is still thriving! Some of the live rock he sold me had corals already growing on them, and they have multiplied and spread out. Saltwater aquariums are a great hobby, and having a place like Atlantis to rely on makes getting started a lot easier. The prices are a little higher than some other places I have been, but you definitely get a more personalized experience and the help of someone who has been in the aquarium business for a very long time, and that is something that you just can't put a price on.

Today I went to Atllantis Custom aquariums located at 4724 Clairton Blvd to purchase a few new fish. The owner was there and was talking up his fish and also how he feed them blood worms and it keeps them more healthy and fatter, So we bought a pack of frozen blood worms and 2 baby Angefish from him.

We got home and put the new Angelfish that where still in the bag in our tank and waited the time we need until we could let them go in our tank. Then an hour later we dropped in a frozen blood worm tablet to feed the fish. And then another hour went by and my husband was saying that one of our older fish was swimming upside down. Ten minutes later he was dead, and that was when the horror started two more fish died within 20 more minutes.

I started to panic and went to clean out the tank when i noticed that all of my fish had a white film over them, I began to clean out the tank trying to save the rest of my fish. Now let me tell you that I had 8 fish including the 2 I had bought today a frog and alge eater. One of those 8 fish was an Angelfish that was huge, he could fit in the palm of my hand and he was also my oldest and favorite fish.

Once I cleaned out my tank I began to put the remaing fish back into my tank. which was only 6 left the large Angelfish the frog, the alge eater and three other fish which did not make it either. I began to watch closely because my Angelfish was not doing good at all to see if maybe, just maybe he would come back, but he never did.

Now all that I have left is a frog and a alge eater. Within 3 hours something that I got from Atlantis killed off all of my fish. I have never had any type of problems with my tank or my fish, none of my fish died when i got got new fish and for somthing like this to happen and whip out a whole entier tank within hours is unacteptable. DO NOT buy anything from them if you want to keep your current fish alive take it from someone that knows and is very upset about the loss of her fish.

The best saltwater fish and coral in Western PA!: Atlantis has the best saltwater fish and coral in Western PA. They take the time and effort to educate the customers who ask for advice. Custom tanks are not a problem for Atlantis either, they have the means and facilty to get any size tank custom manufactured and shipped. They will even set it up and maintain it if that is what you want. I would suggest Atlantis for any serious saltwater aquariast.
