| About: | The owner used to run a crepe stand that migrated around the streets of Shadyside and Squirrel Hill. Now, the crepe stand has found a permanent home in Shadyside. The owner has created his own secret recipe for the thin French pancake, which can be filled with either a sweet or savory filling. The Nutella is a crepe filled with chocolate-hazelnut spread and smothered in whipped cream. The restaurant does serve other dishes besides crepes. |

I go to this place every time I am visiting my friend in Pittsburgh! Very cute and small inside, & the servers are very friendly. I usually get something sweet like apricots or bananas & nutella, & my friend gets ones with ham, cheese etc. Any choice is good! MMMmmmmmm I'm seriously craving a crepe from this place right now!
Wonderful crepes, short hours: My favorite savory crepe is smoked salmon with creme fraiche & chives. For dessert I like the banana & nutella crepe. My friends love the Belgian white chocolate with raspberries. If you choose your own combination you can go savory or sweet. For savory you get stuffings like eggs, cheese, mushroom & spinach with several sauces. It comes with a salad. For a sweet crepe you get preserves, fresh fruit, chocolate & toppings like whipped cream & nuts. They make great hot chocolate & imported French teas.
It's a small place below street level off Walnut St in Shadyside. It's nonsmoking (yay) and very casual- you stand in line to order at the counter, then find yourself a table. Wish they had a few more tables. On weekends you have to get there right as they open (10:00) to get a table. I also wish they had longer hours- they're only open mid morning to mid afternoon.
unique cuisine: The crepes at this restaurant just off Walnut are incredible. Try them the way the chef makes them; the flavors usually complement each other well. The only drawback is their hours. Late
