My family LOVES this pizza! I've been eating it for 10+ years! We either pick it up or dine in. We eat it for breakfast also. Yes, it is sweet, but that is what makes it different. The pie is not round, also different. IT is rare that I hear someone does not like it. My mouth just waters thinking about it. This is the main reason for going to the restaurant. I hear out-of-towners say they come back just for the pizza. If you haven't tried it, give it a bite;)
Goodness Goodness! You have to try this pizza! Very Unique! Sweet sauce and thin pie crust dough. Melts in your mouth! Nothing like it!
These guys have truly unique pizza, and it's certainly a love-hate relationship, you'll either love it or hate it because it's so unique. Personally, I love it. Thin, flaky, butter crust and a sweet red pizza sauce. Heck, I'm getting hungry just thinking about the great taste of Jioio's. I haven't been to this place in quite a while because it's not local for me, but it's pretty likely that I'll make a special trip in the near future now that I'm thinking about it! They say the owner here used to work for Valozzi's Fine Restaurant in Greensburg, and when he left, he took the pizza recipe, (which was his) along with him to open his own place. I believe there is another Jioio's in Latrobe as well, at least there used to be.
