My husband and I dined here for Valentine's Day. We ate in the pub which is alot more private. They had a four-course menu that night. The waiter was excellent. He timed it just right in between courses. The food was good. I've had better but for the price I thought it was pretty good. We didn't feel rushed even though the place was very busy that night. There was a band playing and they were really good.

The food is great, and so is the atmosphere. The staff is relatively friendly. I have not had a bad experience here.

Intruders...: The best is seen from the outside - it is very pretty! I took a group of elderly. Personally, with good service and a friendly waiter I generally tip 20-25%. Since 18% gratuity was automatically added on - there was no incentive for the wait staff to smile or be friendly or attentive (so they weren't!). The food was average, and the service left much to be desired. Water wasn't provided or offered, coffee cream was warm on tables and no refills on hot tea were offered. They lost a signed debit card receipt (a concern in itself), so as we toured the facility, they sent other members of our party (hello?!) to search for "the one who took both slips." Of course, many of my elderly were upset and searching purses/pockets to see if s/he were the guilty one. Imagine my embarrassment when a waitress came for me! I explained the slip was on the table... Anyway 7 minutes of fussing to get another slip while others looked on, etc. It was awful - I now understand why they have to tack on the gratuity :)

I'll recommend a drive-by viewing (as it is a pretty castle) en route to a restaurant with good service...
