Great food. Love their lasagna. Portions are huge for the price. Only bad things are gets crowded early. Not enough parking. They only take cash.
I've been going there for years and I absolutely love the food. I've had the spaghetti, ravioli, lasagne, roast beef dinner, antipasta salad, meatloaf dinner and meatball sandwich. My brother loves their steak and seafood. It is slightly more expensive than chain Italian restaurants, but the portions are twice as big (at least). If you want to spend less, order a "mini" meal, which is still more than most restaurants. The food is always fresh. The bread is served in baskets and you can get as much of it as you want. Instead of salad, you can order a fruit and sherbet plate for the same price. Service has always been great as Mr. Falcetti is always lurking around somewhere making sure things are running smoothly.
Beer, wine and mixed drinks are very reasonably priced.
Cons:
1) Very busy. You'll wait, even with a reservation. I suggest having an early dinner around 2 or 3 oclock on a week day to avoid the crowd.
2) Parking. The place gets busier than the parking lot can accomodate and there is no other place to park.
3) Drinks: Iced Tea and coffee is free refills but sodas are priced per drink.
A note about other comments: The entire place is smoke free now (Pennsylvania Law). Though they do not accept credit cards, there is an ATM in the lobby.
Dress/Attire: anything goes. On any given day you may see someone in anything from a gown or tuxedo to a baseball uniform to shorts and flip flops.
My family and I love this restaurant. It is always one of our "go to's" when we have a special occassion and are deciding on a a restaurant. It does bother me that they don't take credit cards and the smoky bar bothers me but I still love the place. I love their sauce and they sell it so I'm going to buy some to serve at my baby shower. I also love their Scrod Marco (yummy!).
