Unfortunately we had a bad experience. This is my first time eating here so it might be different on other nights but this time the waitress was the most forgetful, uninterested and un-thoughtful waitress I have seen in a long time. Other then us (9 people) there were 3 other people in the restaurant and the waitress gave us a difficult time for not having reservations, we thought she was joking at first - but she wasn't. Then it took her 15 minutes just to give us the menus, at first we thought she was being nice not interfering with our conversations but it soon became evident that she forgot, as she stated "oops forgot the menus". After we ordered our food it took an incredibly long time for it to come out, and let me remind you there were 3 other people in the restaurant other then us (2more people came a little later). When the food came out the waitress dropped two of the plates on the floor and it took close to 20 minutes for the new food to come out after she reassured us it would be about 5 minutes. And the biggy - THE FOOD WAS AT BEST, OK. My wife had a white baked fish and they gave her on the side what seemed liked reheated old pasta in red sauce and that’s how it tasted. The fish was bad and I am no food critic but white baked fish in butter and lemon sauce served with pasta in red sauce doesn’t go together. My chicken parm was ok but again the pasta in the red sauce tasted like reheated yesterweeks pasta. Finally when the checks came out, a mandatory 18% tip was included even to those people whose food was dropped. And when asked for some kind of a discount her reply was "we don't do that here". I mean their food was dropped and then came out later, after the rest of us were finished with ours and they take a mandatory tip out from those people? It really felt like the waitress was either new, drunk or both. Maybe it's different on other nights or with other waiters and a different cook but we are definitely NOT coming back. Instead of spending my money I felt like I wasted it. If it wasn't for the group of people whom we were with I would have stood up and left when I saw what kind of food they brought out to us. Also there were several people in our group who used to work in food business and so we were extremely patient and tried to be very understanding and never confronted or made a scene. We simply paid, said thank you and decided to never come back.

I wonder why you gave it an 8? I'm sorry to hear about your dinner. It sounds miserable. I haven't been to Arnone's in about a year but frequented it prior to that. The food was always delicious, and the wait staff was always professional, courteous and very friendly. Maybe there's something going on with the ownership. It was actually my favorite Italian restraunt. Oh well, one more lost to the ages........

Thanks for letting us know about their service and 18% tips included. Just for that I wouldn't go there. If the service bad why should I leave a tip? Viktoriya

Good to know. I was there when it first opened and WAS NOT happy either, but thought it was due to just opening. Old sauce is old sauce. Not for my money !!

Just for that review, I will not try this place. One bad waitress really can ruin business.

Great value - attentive staff.: We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and homemade; the waiter was very pleasant and attentive, quiet atmosphere. Interior not upscale, but very nice, casual to dressy type place. We will be back!
