I go to Jummy Z's every week with my dad. They have great food and the bartenders are wonderful. I know Jimmy personally and he is a greta guy. The atmosphere is comfortable and I don't feel out of place when I am there. It's a bar not a 5-star restaurant.
It is obvious that Critic123 needs to change his or her name to Coward 123, as they did not have the meatballs to let their server know they had a concern with the food or drinks. As I have been able to meet Jim through the years he has always treated me with respect and has made me feel like it is my home away from home. This Critic123, who seems to know more about Jimmy Z's than a first time patron, would have found Jim to be helpful and apologetic if they were not getting the proper service or quality of food. I have been traveling to Erie for over 20 years, Jimmy Z's has been a true "Hidden Treasure" through the years and his staff as well as the locals remember me and make me feel as if I were at a local establishment in NY. I am not sure where Critic 123 dines normally, but anything in Erie is almost 1/2 of other cities or markets I have traveled in. I can tell from my fast traveling and dining out, that a restaurant or bar will NEVER bat 1000 everyday, but Jimmy Z's seems to try to do the right thing everyday and makes for a fun relaxed environment with good food and drinks!
