User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest place to eat in Altoona. I always warn people, do not judge a book by it's cover. This is a bar but you won't see many people drinking there, it's a great place to eat. They have daily supper specials on a board, the prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Angus beef, crab stuffed shrimp, that sort of fair and if you want a sandwich they have wonderful steak sandwiches and of course wings. If you walk out hungry it's your own fault. They give large portions, unless you are on the verge of starvation you will be taking food home. It's small place so if you have a party of 4 or more or don't want to wait a few minutes then make a reservation.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsthe food is pretty good. prices are a little on the expensive side, but not too bad comparing it to other restaurants in the area. serving size on Philly cheese steak more than plentiful. they have a bar. seating is very limited. so if you want some peace and quiet while you eat, forget it. employees very rude about special request for seating to avoid screaming kids. if you need special accommodations, don't bother staying, get a take out order.

never saw any screaming kids there, you must have been unlucky. If you didn't make a reservation, well you can see it's a small place so that is just common sense to get take out.
