One of my favorites for supper! M&L's has a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere where you're not out of place in jeans with the family or dressed up on a special occasion. It's nice, but it's not one of those snooty white-linen places where you're afraid to laugh, enjoy one another's company, and have a good time. The waitstaff has, on every occasion I have been there, been superb. The show-stopper is the food. Everything is at least very good, most of it is excellent. In particular, they have several celebrations of particular items throughout the year. (Don't miss "Garlic Fest" in late summer/early fall.) The wine list is extensive and interesting-- my experience with Italian wines was very limited before I found this place! It gets busy, but the bar is a nice place to mingle and talk while waiting. It's not cheap by any means, but frankly I've never regretted the bill. I've been to many places that the quality of the food just didn't justify the price, but M&L's has been worth the cost every time.
And no, I don't have any interest in the place and I'm not getting paid to say any of this-- I just like it that much.
