User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI went to the Hofbrau the other week with my boyfriend. He had the meat lovers pizza and wings (hot) and I had a cheese steak.
Service when we arrived was not the best, having never been there before, we didn't know whether to seat ourselves or to wait to be seated. As there was no sign stating otherwise, we seated our selves. It took about 5 minutes to be noticed and give our drink orders...though it was quite busy. It did take a bit to get our food but it was delicious. I didn't care much for the pizza but that is more of my personal preference than anything else. I would have liked it if the pizza was just cheese.
The wings were excellent. Hot and crispy. I've been eating wings since I was two and the "Hot" sauce was almost too hot for me to handle. Definitely reccommend them.
The atmosphere was nice...low lights but not so dim I couldn't see. Despite the amount of people, it didn't seem too loud with talking.
Also kudos to our waitress who, when we left our pizza we intended to take home, caught us walking to our car and gave us our pizza.
Overall, I would reccommend this restaurant to a friend. Good food, good price. I wish the menu was a bit more expanded (no french fries!!) but still offers me lots of choices.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHands down the best pizza in Bellefonte if not Centre County. Plain cheese is all we've ever gotten, and it's got that fantastic Jersey Shore, true New York flavor that is hard to find outside the real deal. And don't miss their wings, either. The "hot" are no joke, and the "butter-rum bbq" are delicious and subtle with a great flavor. My only complaints are that they don't open early enough and they should deliver!
