User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI recently had 4 new tires/rims put onto my truck. A month later i heard a loud clanking noise in the rear-drivers side of the vehicle. I brought it into a transmission shop and the mechanic said that it sounded like the U-Joint was shot. So the next day i made an appointment to get it up on the lift. Turns out...my left rear tire was sliding back and forth on the axle because the lugnuts were not attached properly. 10 or 15 more miles and my entire wheel was going to fall off. When is the last time you saw a car driving down the road with 3 wheels? $119.57 later..i had to get a new rim and lugs. This only after a month when automax in wellsboro put my tires on and computer balanced the vehicle. Reimbursment? No word back from the manager Bob yet. Not looking good either...terrible service-no warranties or gurantees. Not Recommended

I too have been to automax for 4 new tires and I drove aprox two weeks to a month and began feeling a terrable vibration. I thought it was the new brakes that I had put on sevral months prior so I took it to the place that did my brakes. they called and informed me that both back tires has loose lug nuts. They reported lug nuts nearly fell off upon touching them. I asked the manager Bob if there was a possiblity that they did not tighten my lug nuts and he denied that this could have been an error from them. he believed that it was possible that my car had been vandilized? I also asked around and I found another woman who reportd that at some point in 2008 she had tires put on as well and her tire actually broke off as she left the automax building. Thus forcing them to take repsonsiblity for the damage they caused to her car.
