Gingerbread Man

HEADLINE: GINGERBREAD MAN FAILS TO DELIVER
It was a cool and couldy day in Carlisle. We drove from one side of town to the other looking for the elusive Gingerbread Man, thank god for Mapquest. As we entered the restaurant we immediatly notice that the non-smoking section was full so we sat at the bar. The bar tender was polite and promptly served us our beverages. We ordered our lunch, that's when the wheels came off. As the bartender placed the condiment caddie on the bar, she immediately jerked it back. Ahh, but not before I saw the giant cockroach crawling across the Hunts ketchup bottle. 20 minutes later still waiting for our food, a voice from the kitchen exclaims "whew! something got up in there." This immediatly sent our minds awondering. 10 minuties later our food arrived. Oops! they forgot to thermalized the chili. The grilled chicken was rubbery and the fries tasted like fish. Come on guyes filter the oil or use a differnt fryer. 15 minutes into the meal I noticed and orphaned bay cockroach crawling across the placemant, obviously looking for his mother, who is probably clinging for life at the bottom of a grease trap. The meal half eaten and $22 dollars poored we left the restaurant. You would think the beer guys unloading kegs at the exit would have given us a little more room. Oh well we will try the Carlisle Diner next week. I can't wait.

We stop there all the time. The atmosphere is great, the bartender that is usually there is excellent and you get HUGE portions of food.

This place was pretty good. I only had a burger and fries, very good, ungreasy burger.We went back at night, and sat outside and explored the drink menu. Talk about a good time!
