Stayed three nights. When arriving at my room there was no remote for the TV. Was given one that had no back to it, but it worked. The desk lamp did not work, set a note out for the maidto fix it, but of course the maid couldn't read. No lamp for the desk. Otherwise the place was pretty quiet and the breakfast was ok. The hotel did seem years older then it was though, bad workmanship for comfort inns.
Noisy and Dirty: Our room was terrible. There was dust at the edge of the carpet, thick enough to write your name in. The bathroom didn't look clean. Couldn't sleep from the noise. There are too many other options to put up with this place, so we left.
Overall very enjoyable!: I wish I had read the facts about this hotel first. As soon as my wife and I got there and realized they had an indoor pool, we regretted not packing our bathing suits. But they did have an indoor pool, and as we requested, we got a room with a jacuzzi built for two! The room was very spacious and the jacuzzi was SO relaxing! We were able to turn the tv toward the tub, and then toward the bed so we could relax and watch the tube while enjoying the comforts of both.
In the morning we enjoyed a complimentary continental breakfast, a nice spread including cereal, french toast, danish, juice and coffee, and "make your own" waffles. They had the waffle iron out and pre-measured cups of waffle mix on the counter, so you could enjoy truly fresh, hot waffles for breakfast. Great idea! I loved it!
The hotel and the room were very clean. The only thing I didn't like was the smoke odor. I'm a non-smoker and my nose works well. We were in a non-smoking room but there were smoking rooms right down the hall, so first thing in the morning the smell started creeping into my room. Also, I guess all the sheets get washed together because ours had a smoky odor to them. I don't care if people smoke in appropriate places like "smoking" hotel rooms, and I don't complain if I go into a bar where people are smoking, but I don't want to pay for a private, non smoking hotel room if it's going to smell like smoke. They should put all the smoking rooms on one floor (top floor, preferably, since smoke rises) and not mix smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor.
But after all, that's just a personal pet peeve. Aside from that, this hotel earned the four stars I gave it. If not for the smoke issue, I would have gladly given it five.
