User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVERY GOOD FOOD AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. We got a $30 voucher from our hotel for one of 6 local restaurants. (It's a good idea to tell the wait staff about it as you are seated). The hotel (Hampton Inn in Manheim) said they do their catering so we went there (on a Saturday night). It was a little out of the way (4 miles from the hotel)so we were not expecting a crowd, but there was, especially if you wanted to sit out on the deck (We avoided a 45-minute wait by going inside to eat). The food is very modestly priced (Because of the crowd , it did take a while to be served). There was a good variety on the menu. We had chicken, beef and crabcakes between us. (No desserts for us, but only because we wanted to get back before dark). The waitress was very friendly, the soda refills were free (and without having even to ask or more) and we were not rushed out like some places might do when it gets crowded. Although you might feel like you were in the middle of nowhere, it was just a couple of miles from a busy road (Route 72 as I remember) and the restaurant looked like it could have been in any very nice suburb. All in all it was a pleasant experience.

BLue bird is an awesome little tucked away bar/restaurant. good food, good beers, great deck (in the summer) call ahead cause the dining room can get pretty busy!
