    Top-notch food, average to above average service. The food is a step above the many chain restaurants in the York area. Great menu with choices for everyone, excellent atmosphere.

    The Great American Saloon is one of the few "non-chain" restaurants in our area. The atmosphere is relaxed with an interesting eclectic decor. The wait staff is uniformly pleasant and helpful with excellent service. The menu is varied and there always seems to be just the right dish for everyone at the table (love their steaks!). It can get busy on the weekends, but no worries, because there is a great bar where you can wait. We usually see Dan there and he is always a lot of fun to be around...and he makes a mean Margarita!

    The Great American Saloon has such a variety of entrees, everyone is sure to find something they like. We ordered a penne with rosemary that was really exceptional, and followed the meal with a Sambuca from the bar. The bartender, a real sweetie, even put a coffee bean in each glass. Don't wait for a special event to try this place; the burgers and steaks are also way above average.
