Greenspring Apartments

Decent. Apartments/Buildings need updated. Very large living space was nice. Smelly shared lobby. You can smell it when your neighbor lights one up. Allows pets so sometimes (rarely) hear barking. We are 2 mature young ladies and felt very safe. Well lit and well manicured grounds. Great view. We shopped all around the area and this is the best community by far, but you pay for it. The pool is lovely, never ever crowded. Play ground area is also nice. We even had two mid-size parties (15-30 people) and we live on mid-level and never had any complaints of noise even into the am hours. Most of the neighbors are old and friendly. Some single families. Not ghetto. Maintenance is strange, if you call in the morning Mon-Fri they usually take care of the issue before close of business that day. However if you call on the weekend, I believe the on-call guy just listens to your message, determines the severity of it and then decides if he wants to call back. One case, we blew a circuit and needed to switch the breaker, which we did not have access to! It's locked up outside! And we had about 6 guests staying the night, and with 1/2 of the apartment w/o electric is a problem! Then we recently had an issue with our garbage disposal/drain and it was clogged up for over 24 hours...and we were having a surprise 82 Bday for my Gmom/family, and maintenance never responded on the weekend...luckily we figured it out on our own :/ Snow removal was nice, very well salted. You can def hear through the walls when your neighbor walks, it sounds like stomping! Office staff is friendly. Oh the move out instructiosn are ridic! You will have to defrost the freezer, wipe down the fridge, oven, baths and floor boards! Or they deduct from your deposit! But you don't have to patch up picture hanger holes.

Great place to live: We lived there for a year and loved it. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. When you need a maintenance call, they come out pretty quickly. The office staff is friendly and helpful. It's a quiet development and has a nice sized pool which doesn't seem to get used often so it's pretty much all yours when you go for a swim. The grounds are nicely manicured. If we could afford the low pay scale in PA, we'd still be there.
