I saw the other comment and had to say something. Lancaster Cemetery is not Catholic. It's universal, meaning it buries people of many different denominations. It's a city cemetery, not a religious one. It's also very old. Some of my ancestors are buried here and I have walked around enough to get a feel for it. St Joseph's Catholic CHurch has two cemeteries, one just outside the southwestern wall of the sanctuary and one on Charles Road, just outside Lancaster. St. Mary's Catholic Church also has one, adjacent to Lancaster Cemetery. On the other side of the northeastern fence. I believe Lancaster Cemetery was first used as a burial ground for the dead of First Reformed Church. And gradually buried anyone.
St. Joseph's New Cemetery: This location is referred to as the St. Joseph's New Cemetery. Yes, It is a catholic cemetery, but St. Mary's and St. Anthony's also have separate cemeteries in Lancaster, PA
