User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe service was great: prompt and friendly. The food, however, is another matter entirely. Nothing tasted fresh, and the shrimp was rather mushy. None of us finished our meal and none of us wanted to take anything home.
Go for the service, but don't count on decent food.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsGood enough. I'm from Orange County, CA and my hubs and I were looking for a decent local joint to visit while we live here (temporarily, God willing) in PA. This place has decent bar service, great bar food and great pricing. At home in OC we'd call it a dive, but it's middle of the road here. I enjoy!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe live near the Conestoga Restaurant and Bar and pass it almost every time we head towards Lancaster City.
Since it was a lovely day today we decided to stop there for dinner. The view of the Conestoga River from the outdoor dining deck is lovely! It's worth just stopping by to see it!
The food is very good too. There are pricier full course meals or a good selection of hearty sized salads and sandwich platters. I had the gyro platter which came with some very nice home-made french-fries..a lot of them. The gyro was yummy too. There are also various wraps as well.
Not much choice of desserts though. But the food and view and lots of good stuff at the bar make up for that. Go and see! You'll like it.
