User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe waited about 30 minutes and then were promptly taken to our cozy table. The young woman that took us to our table waited until we paid for our drinks and was very pleasant. The waitress was immediately there to take our order, refill our drinks and served our food quickly. She was very helpful in making our dinner choices also along with being personable and attentive.
The food......well it was just amazing. The only thing that I felt was a tad boring was the guac. A bit bland but still a nice addition to the cripsy chips. We had the special dish which was a chicken, talapia, scallop and shrimp combination with a subtle red sauce.....perfect!! The rice is sticky and has a great taste.
We finished our delicious meal with a chocolate cake and brought home enough food for a second meal.
We will visit El Serrano again very soon.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love El Serrano and I eat there just about every other week. The food is Purvian NOT MEXICAN although the food choices are similar. The atmosphere is dark and romantic with lots of large plants. The food is well priced considering the crowd it attracts. Even on the weekends they manage to keep the wait moving fast. They will qoute you a half hour on Saturday night and still end up seating you within 15minutes. The drinks are really orginal and fun. I would really recomend the pollo fundito followed by some honey fried ice cream. Be sure to bring your toms to this restaurant but it is well worth the belly ache.
