Haywood's offers a full line menu, but for an eye-popping, "How can I possibly eat all this," experience, order one of their sandwiches or tacos. No joke. I have _never_ seen larger sandwiches anywhere I have traveled in the U.S.A. Even big eaters have a hard time eating half and get a box to take the remainder (with most of the home-cut french fries) home. Thursday night has a special, barbecue menu in addition to the regular one. Last week I was there on Thursday and ordered the special, pulled pork sandwich which came with cole slaw and baked beans (definitely homemade) for $8.95. It was the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. Like other sandwiches, it was h-u-g-e, as in I struggled eating half and could not finish the side dishes, despite being a big eater. People at the next table had something I could not identify. It was a humongous file of shaved chicken something-or-other. The waitress told me it was a taco, but no way could it be eaten anyway other than with a knife and fork. The football player looking fellow who had ordered it had to ask for a box to take almost half home. Oh, I recall it was about $6.00. Dress is casual and the place can get noisy. The food and service makes it worth it. Oh, my mother went with me on Saturday after the Penn State game (on TV) and ordered fried oysters. She said they were delicious and I have enough left over to make two generous sandwiches this week. A must stop in the Muncy area. Convenient if one goes to a Penn State game, is heading back to SE PA, plans to eat on the way home, and doesn't mind a 15 minute detour off I-80: take the 450 exit off 180/220, head towards Muncy (Hughesville is the other way), then look on the right about 2 blocks after the traffic light [Turkey Hill will be on your left at the traffic light]. Later addition: I think they serve the best hamburg in this zone. Half-pounder using fresh meat on half a grilled ciabatta role [other sandwiches use the entire roll]. Soon I am going to try their steak salad. They are HUGE, with lots of steak. I have asked customers they how they like it and all have said no place makes better. One couple said they had driven from State College just to get Haywood's steak salad and expected to take part of their ervings home. Prices noted in my original review have not changed.

1st time visit. We had a party of 4. Menu had something for everyone in our party. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Will revisit again when traveling that direction again.
