VERY overpriced! Everytime I go there the prices are different and the staff is never the same.
Myself and some of my good friends recently had a get together at Cucina di Marco's. We ordered a variety of things including Italian Wedding Soup, Pasta with red sauce, and a large Pasta with oil and garlic with broccoli. As is customary for most people, we used a generous amount of shaker cheese on these items only to later discover that the cheese was grossly moldy. We promptly let the owners of the restaurant know of this problem in a discrete manner. They took away only the large Pasta with oil and garlic with broccoli and replaced it with a small Pasta with oil and garlic and no broccoli. When we received the bill they had crossed off the large pasta but had still charged us for the broccoli and a small pasta. They did not make right on another of the other food that was ruined by the mold. We ate little to none of the food we had once we discovered the mold! Once we brought it to the attention of the waitress (she is the ownerâs wife) she told us we had to talk to Marco (the owner). We approached Marco who screamed at us for complaining. He screamed something about us not wanting to pay for our food which was incorrect as we were more than happy to pay for anything that was not ruined by mold. He screamed and pointed his finger and walked away from us several times while we were trying to have a conversation with us. His wife explained to us that he was not yelling that he was Italian.
I would recommend that you go to OIP or Pete's Pizza if youâre interested in Italian food without the attitude!
Cucina di Marco has a nice menu selection with below average and above average to excellent entrees. The Italian meals (stuffed shells, linguini and clams, lasagna and such) are very good. Their soups are great, pizza average and deep fried selections, not so hot. Their seafood meals are far our favorite. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Depending on my mood for taste on any given day Cucina di Marco can usually satisfy my tummy. As with every restaurant in the Mount Carmel, there is room for improvement.
