User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI made the big mistake of paying for a membership before looking at the tanning bed and was that a bad idea. The bed was a very low-end model that you had to turn the dial on it before you got in. I had never been in a bed before that didn't have a built-in cd player which came as a shock to me. I wouldn't have minded except the free-standing cd player they had skipped even though my cd was brand new with no scratches. I didn't own an mp3 player otherwise I would have used that. As the place was so small I had to turn down the cd player very low or the employees would knock on the door. After I finished my session I asked for my money back. The owner gave me a difficult time when I wanted a refund and said that SHE was trying to accomodate me. If that was the case she wouldn't of She asked me if I had an mp3 player and she said no one ever had a problem before as most of the people listen to that instead of the cd player. I let her know I didn't have an mp3 player(I surely wasn't going to go out and buy one just for going tanning). She also basically said I would be tanning at most 15 minutes so it wasn't a big deal and I shouldn't worry about. I told her that this is the only time during my day I am by myself and get to listen to what I want to and so it was important to me. She refunded me my money less the tanning lotion and goggles(way overpriced) and a chargeback fee. I also got absolutely no color and I went in for 8 minutes. I've been in 4 other tanning places before and I have always gotten at least a little red on my face, but not at JMS. I went tanning there once and would not go back.

I would like to say that i was there and thought it was rude to get mad about those things when they supply a c.d. player which i always use and works just fine, and have been tanning there for awhile and always get good color.and as far as the music being too loud, it is a salon, so you should be courtious to other people and not play it loud.and i would def. say the goggles are not overpriced. I love tanning here and would def. recommended it to everyone :)
