CAN WE RATE IT LESS THAN 5 STARS?????: We reserved an outside table early in the day for a pleasant summer evening experience. When we arrived to find an empty restaurant, after falling on their uneven stone-ridden driveway, we requested to sit inside their empty, dark, dank restaurant. We were told, at the door, by the co-owner, Chris(?), that we could only "sit outside or at the bar." Not liking bar-talk, we opted for our original reservations--which were outside. We were seated at a table w/ a nice white tablecloth--- full of bugs...which we had to wipe off ourselves! No one else was on their noisy (due to highway traffic), buggy patio. Our waitress was uninformed about the menu; she brought us incorrect menus; forgot our iced teas; and forgot our guest's wine order. Our entrees were only slightly lukewarm: one entree was halibut and the other coho salmon. The salmon tasted at least 5 days old and was very boring. When, at the end of our entrees, we expressed our displeasure to our waitstaff and asked for our check before dessert, the co-owner came over and asked us if "we ever had experience in the restaurant business." She said this with such a terrible attitude and disdain, that we had to explain to her, that yes, in fact, we did, and questioned why we were the only people whom she chose to seat outside on her buggy patio when the rest of the restaurant was empty. May I please explain to all that we were so properly dressed that we were probably overdressed for this golf-course-type, very old, moldy establishment. Good luck to those who choose to partake....Based on the reviews, I guess you must live in Emmaus in order to love it!
Very Romantic, Excellent Food: For the most romantic expierence, request to be seated in the basement. There are only two tables, and it is incredibly romantic. The food is very good. The short ribs were excellent, the veal was not quite tender enough, yet it was very flavorful. The beer list is world class, and the dessert list, although rather standard, proves to be delicious. A perfect place for anniversarys, valentines day, birthdays, ect.

And what does living in Emmaus have to do with it? Are you saying people who live in Emmaus like bug ridden, moldy restaurant, with cold food?
I live in allentown and I love bugs, mold & gazpacho. Where is this place??
