Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: My family will travel from miles around to gather to go to a movie at The Grand because the experience makes it all worthwhile. The Grand brings back the old time movie experience in a beautiful facility and at a reasonable price. This is far better than anything you can get one of the mega theaters.

The Grand Theater was beautifully restored by the current owners. The seating is comfortable. The concession stand is inside the theater so you don't miss any of the movie if you go to get food. The bathrooms are clean and very nice.

The staff at The Grand all wear uniforms reminiscent of the old days of movie theaters. They are plentiful, available, cheerful and helpful. When was the last time you saw someone at the Mega Theaters in the theater to help out when you needed it?

Before the lights dim, you are entertained with music played on an organ, just like the old days. After the lights go down the first thing you see is a cartoon - yes just like the old days when going to the movies was a fun experience. This is followed by a single preview - not the endless stream of commercials followed by 15 or 20 minutes of previews that turn going to a movie at the Mega Theater into an endurance challenge before the film starts.

When the film starts, it is projected on a huge movie screen - as large as anything at a Mega Theater shy of an IMAX screen and miles better than the smaller rooms the Mega Theaters often put people in. The sound system at The Grand is also top notch.

Best of all, you get this for a price that is easily half to one third what you'd pay at a Mega Theater. And the ticket prices are not the only thing that is reasonable, the refreshments at the concession stand - soda, popcorn, and candy - do not cost much more than what they would at the store.

You'd be wise to keep track of The Grand's website not only for regular movies but also for special attractions, like midnight showings of Rocky Horror or the recent one time showing of the silent film version of "The Phantom of the Opera" with live organ accompaniment.

For a great movie experience, you can't beat The Grand.

It is so nice to be able to bring my 6 year old to a theater that is intimate and nostalgic. On top of that, it's more convenient and affordable! Try it once and you'll be hooked...
