Carrabba's Italian Grill

My husband and I went to Carrabba’s for the first time. We live in this community for over 6 years and have never tried it, … the commercials looked good, so we wanted to go. I must say that eating out is not something we do often because it’s costly for us, …so when we do go out to eat, we expect more than most. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We expected to pay around $50.00 for the two of us to have dinner, but I also expected to eat a hardy meal! The portion sizes were small for us. We both ordered The Johnny. Chicken and Steak on the same plate with ravioli. Both pieces of meat were hardly the size of my plum and they put only three ravioli on our plates, …everything was smothered in sauce. I must say that the food was delicious, and the service and atmosphere was nice, but the portion size left me feeling cheated and unsatisfied. I didn’t complain to the wait staff about it, because I have come to realize that most restaurants are cutting back there portions size due to the economy and that most patrons don’t eat as much as we do in one sitting, …. But if you are like us, and eat your main meal at dinnertime, and are used to walking away from a restaurant feeling full, or with a little bit to eat for lunch the next day, then this place is not for you. We ordered no drinks, we both had water and my husband ordered one cup of coffee and we paid $46.00 for the meal…$50.00 with a tip. To much money for only one meal and very little to eat.

Ok, so I go to an Italian Restaraunt hungry right, and guess what? I left hungry. They have only so many choices, chicken, chicken or chicken! no thank you. I was more content with my bowl of Special K at my own CLEAN dinner table.

Went with a large party on Mother's Day. Restaurant was packed with lots of big parties, but they did take us pretty quickly since we had put in a call ahead reservation. Salads were very good. Pizza was a little undercooked and we had to send it back. Food was fine, but nothing special. Average chain...
