I was shopping for a car for a VERY LONG time. Once I narrowed the search down to a Toyota and began my search through the Toyota dealerships within what I thought was a decent drive time. I contacted my local dealerships. I won't mention them by name. I live in the wilkes barre Pa area though. Both dealerships I contacted were semi nice to me on the phone so I made the trip to both dealerships. WOW!!! what a big mistake. They treated me like I was a child, gave me insulting numbers and then brought out a "closer" to muscle me into buying their car. It's like they both learned how to sell cars at the same school or something. I was very discouraged and almost didn't buy anything. Then relunctantly on a coworker's advise I called Independence Toyota. They were very VERY nice over the phone. I talked to the Sales Manager Bill and he treated me quite well - what a relief!!! But I still wasn't sure, especially after my horrible experiences at the other two places. So against my better judgement I made the trip. It took a little longer to get there than I wanted but boy was I suprised. They are so nice there I can't say enough. They treated me like I was an equal and like they should treat another human being. Then they brought out the numbers and they beat the other two dealerships by $2000!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe it!! So once I said I would take the deal out comes the manager. I thought to myself "here we go, i knew it was too good to be true" It was Bill, the Sales Manager. He came out to thank me personally for the business. I think other dealerships should go there and take lessons on how to sell cars. I already knew what I wanted, they didn't need to "sell" me something. All I wanted to do was find some place to treat me right and treat me with respect. It as truely a great experience and I wanted to make sure everyone knows that. I promised them that I would pass the word out about Independence Toyota. It is ABSOLUTELY the place that you should buy your next new TOYOTA from.
I went into here to buy a car and I left very happy. However, over week or so all they did was not return my calls or listen to what I was saying. Once someone called me back about the car they changed what we had decided upon drastically. Then I spoke to manager and to make up for my lost wages and constant frustration when dealing with his workers all he offered me was an oil change. That was completely insulting. I wouldn't reccomend this place.
