We are not coming to the Poconos for fine dining but to enjoy the scenery. Due to the nice reviews we went for dinner to this restaurant. What a disaster this was! We ordered some of their specials â pork tenderloin and surf & turf. After a long 45 minute wait the food arrived - stone cold! So cold that the butter did not even try to melt on the potato. Naturally we rejected a heat up or nuked food as making this matter even worse.
Amazingly the restaurant was filled with only 3 tables during dinner time while others were crowded. Never again!
Alright: It's really just a place to go to look at the view. The menu doesn't have anything grand. I had the turkey platter for lunch which was filling, kind of tasteless. The chocolate cake was good and the service was excellent. Although looking around it seemed a lot of people waited awhile to get their food. I grew up here for the summers, I rarely go and if I don't go again that's fine by me.
Ehrhardt's is a scenic view with a plate to match.: Ehrhardt's is a scenic view of Lake Wallenpaupack with a meal to match in culinary splendor. The new chef is a welcome improvement to this popular tourist attraction and community gem. The Chili and Wing festival is indeed a great event. The salmon with coconut Thai inspired tastes is very pleasantly memorable. The salad bar makes a great lunch even for hearty eaters such as myself. The wait staff is attentive. Lunch prices are very reasonable and dinner is an average price for good food. Makes a nice date restaurant.
