User Rating: 2 out of 5 starswas not happy with this daycare: I was told the children go out everyday, but later found out they make all the children under 24 months sit in strollers instead of letting them run around. My child was very upset being brought outside and than strapped in a stroller and not out playing. We left right after I found this out.
The director also was not to friendly, though the teachers were all very nice.

I am looking for a place for my newborn who will be about 5 months old that will tend to my child and not leave her strapped in a swing, stroller, or pen all day. Anyone know of good places here in the Poconos that are great with this age group and are focused on development of children, not just keeping them out of their hair?
I have to say, these two people need to hear what they are saying!!!! Babies running around??? Babies coming home and telling stories of their upsetting expereinces....sitting outsisde in a stroller?!? According to PA state regulations, all children under 24 months are not permitted in playgrounds with wood chips. Children under the age of 24 months are highly likely to put them in their mouths. I personally would not want my baby running around, for one they are wobbly on their feet not a sturdy ground for a little one. And.... "strapped" well how else do you put a baby in a stroller. This picky woman needs to stay at home with her kid. I have heard nothin but great things about Tender Heart and the Director, to my knoledge Notre Dame stated that they could always tell the children that went to Tender Heart, they were always the more advanced, and the director has been there for 20 years!! She must be doing something right. My sister brought her two kids here and I have been sending my kids since 2006 and would give it 10 stars!!!!!!!Both these woman should see how clean and bright this school is, NO other school compares!!!!
