One of the Best BBQ spare ribs i ever had...by the same token...Dumplings were too doughey...overall not bad for pennsylvania (former long islander) much better in NY...naturally
The food is relatively good and cheap while the portions are generous. You can easily split a meal with rice for under $12 and have leftovers. The General Tso's, Sesame Chicken and Garlic Shrimp are all very tasty. Frequent in moderation unless you like Wayne Memorial (too much of a good thing is bad). Unless you live somewhere miserable, like Honesdale, you don't have to worry about the takeout losing its heat by the time you get home. There are far worse Chinese food places in many metropolitan areas... not bad for the sticks! (as many Yuppies can attest)
great food: china house is a very simple old restaurant for take out and eat in. Although eat in is always better than take out beacause Asian food always taste better when it just cooked, there are only a few tables, sometimes its all packed. well folks, just bring it to go and eat it when u get home, don't leave it cold or eat it the next day. I am from Binghamton, NY, there are more than 10 chinese restaurants around my area, I've try all of them out, but do not favor any. China House has great food compare to all the ones I had visited. No ambience, if you want that, maybe you should go to an expensive restaurant across from it. that restaurant charges at least 75 dollars per person (i heard about it, never try) for a combo meal, not including wine.
