Okay, let me first say that this is only a review of their pizza. Keep in mind I have a high standard for pizza and I know what good pizza tastes like. I know my pizza. This is not pizza. This is at best tastes like very very average to below average frozen pizza, like Elio's except that Elio's is better. DiGiorno blows this away, and digiorno isn't really true pizza. Nothing against the people who run the place, I'm sure it's a fine bakery (I'm not really sure, just being nice), but this is possibly the worst pizza I've ever tasted. They say that pizza is like sex, even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. Not this pizza. All of the people who tout this pizza should take a trip with me back to Long Island where they have some of the best pizza in the world. It would blow their minds. Stuccio's is 100 times better than Dalo's. Even lousy Original Italian Pizza is 10 times better than Dalo's. Haven't tried Tuzzi's, but after Dalo's I can't trust pizza from a bakery. I still am holding out hope for either East End Pizza or Paragan. Otherwise I'll look toward Bloomsburg, Romeo's etc. In search of great pizza. Stuccio's is the closest so far. Tonino's in East Stroudsburg is really top notch if you're ever out there.
In conclusion, a lot of people seem to like this product, and that's fine, but to call it pizza is misleading. They make it with American cheese for christ's sake. lol.
Dalo's don't even make most of the bakery items. What's up with that. They buy pre-made cookies and pastry and sell them in the store. Their pizza is no different from the loosy pizza you buy in the supermarket in the refrigerated section. Someone should take the owner to Philadelphia or New York so they can see, smell and taste what really bakeries make everyday right in the bakery.
The Best in the World: I grew up in Berwick - live in NYC/NJ now - and still come back to visit - but I just wanted to say that no matter where I have traveled in the world - there is nothing that even comes close to comparing to Dalo's excellent pizza. Their product is truly unique and I could eat tons of it!! It's the best tasting pizza ever!!!!! And there are days where I am just craving their pizza but can't get it all the way out here!
Plus their cakes and cookies are awesome. Every birthday I had as a kid was with a Dalo's cake and it was the best. You have to try it!!!

Believe it or not, when it comes to possible good pizza we don't need to be 'traveling through'. We'll gladly take the 45 minute or so drive to check it out. The only problem with that is what if it really is hands down the best pizza I've tasted in PA? Then I have a problem (luckily gas prices are low). lol. I will give it a try and let you know what I think. Thanks for the heads up Chris.
