We went to Dooley's last night and I gotta tell ya - it was great! I'd put their food, drinks, service and value up against any other eatery and pub in PA. We've recently relocated to Old Forge so we were excited to see a place that looked both fun and clean in our new hometown and Dooley's lived up to it's image. Inside was a central bar, comfy looking booths and a pool table, (the bathrooms here are also very clean and well maintained)but we had our eye on the back porch. Although we had a little trouble finding the way out there, (it's the green door in the back right corner) a few nice patrons helped us out. Before going out, we picked up a couple of livations at the bar, we were served very quickly, carded us both (thank you!) and the drinks were refreshing, well made and cheap! Dan had a Yuengling Draft I had a Vodka Tonic and together they cost $5.25 which is what we were used to paying for just the Vodka Tonic! So we went out to the back porch, sat on confortable wrought iron chairs overlooking the street. I quickly flagged a waitress and got us a couple of menus and was delighted by the selection! Everything from Steaks, to crab legs, clams, salads, wraps, burgers and a bunch of tempting appetizers! We were really hungry so we went straight to the sandwiches and were not disapointed - Dan ordered his go-to sandwich - the buffalo chicken and I had the philly cheesesteak. Although I was surprised that the philly cheesesteak was served on a sesame seed bun I was delighted by the flavor and quality of the final product. Dan was also very pleased with his samich, very very spicy to me, but he loved it! We sat, ate and chatted up our new neighbors, (even met the owner) while listening to the familiar tunes of Johnny Cash, Social Distortion and Twisted Sister until the evening chill sent us home for the night.
Overall, this is a great place that we plan to return to on a regular basis.

great place: Dooleys is a home run, great food in a classy restaurant upstairs and a classic irish pub downstairs, the best of both worlds!
