Excellent! I eat there all the time. Love the food, love the service, love the atmosphere!
This was a disappointment. I had heard good things and went expecting great Italian food especially since Scranton does have many good Italian eateries. When I first walked in, I could have been in a restaurant in Ne York City. The atmosphere was stylish. That's where the positive impression ended. #1: the pizza appetizers were cute and tasty but the dough looked like it could have been matzah bread/toast. #2 :the "Sunday Sauce" which comes on many of the entrees tasted like it could have come from any pre-bottled sauce but with a ton of sugar added. Yuck. #3: Their pasta, even the "home made options" did not taste home made. Maybe over-cooked? #4: The risotto was so salty my father could not even eat it#.5: the restaurant was loud and they had some grinding, scratchy club music in the back round. Inappropriate for dinner music. The wines by the glass were OK. The creme brulee was cold. I will not go back. You'd be better off eating at another of the many Italian places in this Italian city.
I'd like to comment on the food, but because we never got around to waiting long enough to sit down and actually eat, I cannot. Therefore, I have to rate this establishment on the service/experience alone. We DID make reservations ahead of time and were still NOT seated an hour later!! They basically told us to wait in the bar and have cocktails if we wished until our table was ready(which we did until we couldn't wait any longer) - what's worse is that even though the hostess walked by us at least 20 times during the course of this period, there was no sense of urgency, accomodation, or even recognition for that matter...it's almost as if we were invisible - I guess they must do a good business because it seemed as though they didn't really care one way or another, but we shall never visit this place again!!
PS - we ended up going to Jhon's Place (in Old Forge) right after this experience (starved mind you)and had an excellent meal and service(even without reservations)
