I ordered soup as a take out and there was a mysterious winged bug in it, I was so disapointed and grossed out of course I threw it all away. I used to eat at the buffet all of the time and loved it until this experience. I have never gone back.
Excellent food and service!!!!: My wife and I love this place. It is a truly a gem for the Valley and we love to go there when we have shopping to do in the Valley.
slightly overrated.... but just slightly: Many people have wonderful things to say about grace... but beware a few things.... crab legs are very small and difficult to crack due to rubbery texture... soups are bland... as are the lo mein and fried rice... and... as with any other chinese restaurant... don't expect the waitstaff to fully understand or speak english well... pros... cocktail mussels are HUGE and to die for... cocktail shrimp is small but flavorful... some "different" dishes not seen many other places... like garlic shrimp... seafood delight... the stuffed mushrooms are magnificent... tasty fresh fruit is great forhe kids.... under 2 eat free(saves me a bundle)... staff is friendly... one more con... on a slow day, food can be dry and overheated... but i can't really complain as i'm taking the family there tonite... overall... a strong B+...
P.S. if u prefer a more "sophisticated" atmosphere... Beijing Garden on gray st. in Elmira is the closest thing to upscale, fine chinese dining in the area... at very reasonable prices... try the "FLAMING" pou-pou platter... attractive and EXTREMELY delicious
