We had great service and the food was very good. I love Italian food and these people know how to do it. The decor is a blast from the past. I hope they never change it, it's wonderful just the way it has been for the last 50 years. If you are traveling on I-81, take the time to drive 5 minutes and 50 years off the superhighway and take in what this place has to offer. We saw a small sign on the freeway and decided to try it, we were thrilled we did. It was one of the most memorable stops on our cross country tour.

Average Food. Prices are good and the staff are friendly. Need to pay attention to how food is prep. White american cheese does not belong on top of eggplant parmesan, YUK! Try to use mozzarella cheese, the correct way!

Our family enjoyed dinner and the friendly atmosphere by owner and staff. Our meal was perfect, not one issue from the 13 who were in our party. They also accomodated us later, when typically staff and chef are winding down, maybe even rushing clients to eat & run. Not here. We arrived at 9:45, and were treated and served like it was 7pm. Would recommend highly. Good service and food. While italian their specialty, we tested them with a variety of dishes. All of us enjoyed our meal and the delightful service of the Green Gables.

Thank you. We will be back. New Milfordites, you're lucky...but sure you know it.
