User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsDinner, now with an even better menu (especially appetizers towards the back pages), offers excellent lamb vindaloo and other main dishes, appetizers and sides. Attentiveness varies from excellent to wanting, but service overall is always at least okay. Too, the place is clean and relaxing except that the CD player has been skipping for weeks. There are precious few full tables, which is weird considering food quality and price: We absolutely pig out for $30 each, and it helps that Indian food goes better with $10 red plonk than fancy wine. We're still scratching our heads about negative reviews, but after seven recent visits, including Friday evenings, all we've encountered is at least decent service and fantastic food except one night weeks back when the lamb was dry and tough. BYOB.
PS to the earlier reviewer: My wife, who has been an Indian foodie for over 30 years, had lamb korma last night and seems to recall it came with ground cashews. She wouldn't swear to it, though, but said it was simply delicious.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsYes, the service is slow, but that's what an outing should be, a dinner out, not the usual "stuff your face". The credit card machine probably was broken, since we're there at least once every month or two, always about 10 people party and we always pay with a credit card, or in our case, with at least 4. The food-we enjoy, we returned many times. Now, maybe with the current economy, they started holding some things back, like cashews in the korma dish, but overall, pretty good.
