just super and not in the city
BYOB,food five stars
We'll be back 100%
Attention: Poor Service Ahead!: Accentuating the positive, I'd say that the food is not bad even though the seafood cocktail for $26.00 could have had perhaps a bit more seafood in addition to the teaspoon-size seaweed salad, 4 shrimp and 3 oysters. But concentrating on the negative, I must admit that the service in this place has truly shocked me.
Avoiding the explicit details, I would like to throw in just a few factors for those considering to dine at this "fancy" BYOB.
1) Do not forget to ask the waiter for the bread because apparently it is not included in the service package, though they do admit that there is "no extra charge to have your bottle of wine opened".
2) When your appetizer plate is being taken away with your appetizer still on there without a question whether you are finished or not, do not tell them that you would like to take your time because as a result of such request, your table will not be attended to at all for at least 45 minutes. Also, during that time, your water glasses are not going to be refilled or your dirty plates cleared out of the way once you are finished.
3) When the manager or owner will come up and ask you how everything is going, having noticed that you do not look happy, please keep in mind that after you voice your concerns to her about the poor service you are experiencing, or rather no service at all, your service will get noticeably worse.
4) Please also keep in mind that the above-mentioned experience took place on a week day while ours was the second out of 2 total tables occupied for that entire evening.
And let's face it, we all make mistakes, but what kind of a manager/owner would intentionally choose not do a thing to correct the situation and continue to let the staff ignore the customers? The kind of a manager who, after having already demonstrated the most unprofessional attitude towards the customers and having heard their sincere concerns, continues to show complete indifference.
Great Dessert!: I went there just for dessert, but I'd definately go there for lunch next time. Tasted very good.

I would like to add to the negativity regarding the service: They don't ask you if you'd like "regular coffee" or "special coffee"...something like that. But the so called special coffee comes with a few fancy sugar cubes which you are paying around $1.50 extra for. Don't assume anything when you dine here and ask for a cup of coffee. The service people are trained not to tell you about this, and when you do confront them on it they don't offer to take it off your bill. Not a good thing.
