It has been a year since I bought a car from Main Line Honda and I still regret it. I was pressured into buying an overpriced used Honda Civic. Three days later, I got a lower price from Concelli Honda on the same model but brand new. To add insult to injury, when I took possesion of the car it was dirty. I asked several times for it to be detailed and everytime was told they were too busy.
Never go to Main Line Honda. They are rude and incompetent. The customer service is horrible. They don't even have any New Cars on the lot. We drove 30 minutes to see a New Honda Odyssey. The Salesman brought two Honda Odysseys that were Used and had the gall to try to convince us by yelling at us and telling us it was a new car. He told the one guy to take off the used car sticker. They are very very very unprofessional, dishonest and rude.
My wife and I visited Main Line looking to buy a brand new Odyssey. In order for us to agree to buy the dealership had to accept a trade in and give us the $ aomunt it is worth according to Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds. We told the Dealer that we wanted $5,000 for the trade in. The salesman and his manager kept low-balling us, and on top of that not budging on the price. We hammered the car salesman and his manager that we were not settling for less than what the car is worth ($5k). Main Line did not even have the Odyssey on the lot that we wanted. After spending 2.5 hours my wife and I decided to leave, to visit another dealership to see what they had to offer. Every time we attempted to leave, the Salesman and his Manager kept trying to convince to stay by offering more money on the trade in value if we would buy from them. They never offered $5,000 for our trade, so after 2 hours of wasted time and energy we got up and left. We went to their competitor, another Honda dealer and right off the bat they gave us what we were looking for in the trade in, and were flexibile on the price of the car.
In the end, I will never step foot in Main Line Honda ever again. I will never recommend anybody I know that is looking for a car to go there. And, I will go out of my way to spread the word how unprofessional, unorganize, and what a bad experience my wife and I had during our time there.
For those of you looking to buy a car...make sure you read the fine print, review the numbers for accuracy. Dealerships like to swindle their customers..agreeing to a price and monthly payment of a period of time, then when you sit down with the Financing Manager to sign the terms and other papers..they change everything up, add fees and services the customer does not need or should not pay into the terms. Even though we had a much better experience at the other dealership, they still tried to make more money off us through changing the financing terms. Luckily, my wife caught them on it. JUST MAKE SURE TO READ THE TERMS FROM FRONT TO BACK, AND MAKE SURE THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS ARE WHAT YOU AGREED TO, BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP WILL TRY TO PULL A FAST ONE OVER YOU.
