I love ACS. My daughter has been a student there for 3 years. Their academic program is on target and they teach values you can't find in public schools. The staff at ACS love their children and you can see the effects of this by the way students interact with them. Students and staff seem to enjoy being there and learning together. The class sizes are smaller than other schools I've visited (which was a plus). I don't have to worry about transfering my child when she gets to high school, they offer k-12 (and they have a daycare). Diversity is very important to me, and ACS does pretty good. Piano lessons are an option, as well as, other afterschool activities and Martial Arts as PE. Another great thing is, they don't spend a lot of time off from school - A+ for that.
My only problem with ACS is they don't go on field trips. Living so close to Historic Philadelphia, it would be a great educational experience for the students to venture out. Besides, who didn't love field trip day when they were young. I wish the children didn't have to miss out on fun times in order to get a great education. Other than that, no complaints.
