Warm, friendly atmosphere!!!: I attended this school for 4 years, and it was a great experience! All of my professors were very nice, helpful and educated people. Same with the staff in career services, academic records, the business office, financial aid, the library and the front office. They have 2 honor societies...Phi Theta Kappa & Chi Alpha Epsilon, among other groups to join. The classes weren't so big that you felt lost in a huge crowd...the campus is beautiful...the college itself is of victorian gothic style, with a castle-like section that has a great bell tower. The main driveway, at the entrance to the college, covered by a stone canopy. Just go up the stairway, through the doors & into the front lobby. An interesting touch you'll see are the church pew benches. The reason behind them is the college's nice history. It used to be Notre Dame High School for girls. Nuns used to live there, and the library is very church-like, with stained-glass windows and a cathedral ceiling. When visiting, go into the library's main area. Go about half-way up the center aisle, turn around & look up. What you'll see is really neat! In relation to its history, some people can remember seeing the nuns leaving the then girls school by way of carriage to go out on day trips.
Overall, this is a great school! I'm proud to say it was the first college I received a degree from!
