I love this place! The food is fresh and plentiful. The staff is knowledgeable and never gets flustered by special requests or food allergies. The family atmosphere is wonderful, and you are family after your second or third visit. The specials are so great. And their selection of tequila is amazing!
Forget the margueritas (which are delicious!) Order a mojito -- they are fantastic, but be careful, they go down smooth and sneak up on you in a very subtle way. The food is tasty and authentic. My boyfriend and I order several appetizers and entrees but I can't recommend anything because after my 2 mojitos I don't remember much of anything. One thing I do remember is how consistently crowded it is on the weekend. Reservations are recommended unless you like to sit at the bar, which, if you can find a seat, is a great option. The bar is wide enough to accommodate your food nicely and you can watch the bartenders make your drinks and pick up tips on how to make a mojito. Also, in the summer you can sit outside and people watch. This place is trememdous!
Tequila's is the best! I meet a friend in town for dinner once a year, and I always choose Tequila's. The food is fresh, authentic, and excellent. Whenever I hear someone say they want to go downtown for dinner and aren't sure where to go, I always recommend Tequila's. The atmosphere is calming and not cheesy like some other restaurants. Excellent all the way around!
