My son and I are from Missouri, we visited on Aug 13 2009. This was with out a doubt the BEST meal we have ever had. I can't say thanks enough for such a great experience. THANKS!!!

If the house salad dressing was any saltier, it could've been a salt lick for deer. Wasabi? How about GREEN horse radish?!? Eating sushi for over 10 years, I know how much wasabi I typically use. The "wasabi" they served...I used three times as much as usual. My dining partner agreed, she tasted horseradish also.
Then again, NO where on the menu do they state wasabi is served, so I suppose it's my fault for making such an outrageous assumption. With a tab of $145 for 2 people, they will never see me again. For the record, I sent a note detailing my experience using their web site feedback section. Their response? I'm still waiting and after a month, I doubt I'll receive any type of reply.

just for reference, traditional japanese food doesn't use extra wasabi and soy sauce like we do in america. the chef typically puts what he believes is the proper amount to exemplify the flavor or the dish. when the customers add wasabi and soy sauce it makes the dishes all taste the same. and his green horse radish is typical of areas in japan as well. its probably because you are accustomed to american sushi and japanese food that you're not used to these things. it is very pricey but a good place.

As the above comment references, American sushi is not served at morimoto. Fish at Morimoto is straight from japan and of the highest quality...as is the wasabi. They use fresh wasabi that you won't typically find at most sushi restaurants. Good luck sushi expert, and go back to your frozen fish and crab stick california rolls.

We ate there (went 2 1/2 hours to get there) and did the $100/person deal. I have never had better sushi in my life. I can STILL taste it and this is 3 years later. My husband and I can't wait to go again (it'll be his first time). The sauces were "homemade" and honestly, I've never tasted better since. The sauces matched each course perfectly. The whole dinner was amazing.

You are used to inexpensive industrial strength wasabi powder. Fresh grated wasabi is much more mild in flavor. F.Y.I. wasabi basically is green horseradish.

The Best Place to go to have fun: I love going there, the food was delicious the service was on point and the ambiance was wonderful. The lights in the seats and on the walls change to wonderful colors from time to time. I was there almost a year ago, but I remember what I had. I had Miso Soup, which is so good and crunchy with NY Steak Strips they were salted perfectly and tasted wonderful, and I had a Chocolate Parfait, I never had one before, but I wanted more of it all the next day. It was excellent.

Hopefully when I graduate, and get a good enough job I can go there whenever I like.
