| About: | Cuba Libre features a contemporary interpretation of traditional Cuban cuisine and a broad base of authentic Cuban cocktails, including the largest selection of rum in Philadelphia. The restaurant's interior has a beautifully weathered historical feel. The materials combine warm mahogany and oak, cracked tile, painted plaster, exposed concrete and brick, and iron railings. With iron balconies overlooking a courtyard, a dramatic 30-foot ceiling, and paddle fans turning lazily, the space looks and feels like a street in Old Havana in the mid 1950s. Cuba Libre will not accept reservation from diners under the age of 21 after 9PM on Friday and Saturday, and the dress code for Friday and Saturday is upscale casual. |

We went to cuba libre located in orlando, the place is nicely decorated, waiter was nice and attentive, But..... the menu is quite deceiving, what you ask for is not what you'll get. food is overpriced. If any of you reading this is cuban or familiar with cuban cuisine you will know that cuban restaurants tend to serve a lot or at least moderate amounts, don"t expect it here, the amount of food is ridiculous, I personally don"t tend to eat in large portions but for the price I think we should have gotten a full sized churrazsco rather than a 4oz one,I mean really I"ve never seen a churrasco serving that small. Than on top of all I was charged $7.00 for an order of fries. We don't mind paying as long as we get our money worth. But anyway, the taste of our small meals was fairly good. WATCH OUT CUBANS!!! Oh!! the only thing we liked about this restaurant was the mango butter Very Tasty.
I have been to Miami and have had authentic Cuban food. This food was not it! It is very bland with no flavor. The service was really bad. Our waiter got our order wrong 3 times and he ended up blaming us for it. He refused to serve us. We were so kind to him. Even if the service was good I would not return because the food is horrible. I could tell it was not authentic because there were no spanish people eating there. I would not recommend this place at all. My latinos please stay away you will not like it.
Not happy at all! The food was tasty but the service was more rushed than a Chinese restaurant. They tried to take our dishes away 2 x while we were eating. I couldn't taste or feel the effects of rum in the Mojitos. I told that to the waitress and the manager. They both suggested that the other ingredients mask the taste. The waitress suggested I order and pay for another one with a double shot (No thanks)! The manager told me the effects may not kick in for 15 minutes. It never did, they both walked away and it was obvious that they did not care that I was not happy! I've had Mojitos in many locations and it doesn't take a lot for me to feel the effects. I would not go back to this restuarant.
