DINING AT THE DINER: If you are a lover of fine dining, this is not the place for you. However, if you are a lover of the piece of Americana called 'Diners' then this is definitely the place for you!!!

The 24-hour establishment is a great place to go alone and even better to go with friends after a night on the town or a meeting! They offer a wide assortment of foods and pretty much everything on the menu is available around the clock.

As for the quality of food, if you remember that it IS a diner, you will be quite pleased. Everything is served hot and in a timely manner. If something is not to your liking they will be more than happy to make it right for you. As a soup lover, I am particularly biased to their freshly made French Onion Soup which is available everyday of the week! Ask for some bread and butter to dip in it and, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, slide over while I join you!

The staff is friendly and courteous and once they get to know you will ask you, with genuine interest, how you are and what is new in your life. On the flip side of that, if you are one to go in alone and wish to be LEFT alone, they will respect that, too.

Prices are very reasonable, too. Really, why go to a fast food joint when for the same price of McSomething or Other you can get a homestyle breakfast with all the trimmins'!?

So for all you readers out there whether you are in Philadelphia or just visiting, don't forget that when you are "Out on the Town" you stop into the Midtown!
