Management was really nice but I think they were trying to check on all of the staff since it seemed like they were not on their game. Waitress brought wrong twice and bartender was nice but far too confident in his abitities. Scallop appetizer was good, shrimp pil pil was average (I think the shrimp tasted a little freezer burned), sea bass was terrible and the halibut filet was a good piece of fish but far to salty and whatever it was served with was discusting. Probably will not ever go back since food was not that good and overpriced. Staff was knowedgable about menu and very nice though.
One of my Philly restaurant favorites!: I love Tangerine! From the decor to the menu to the delicious food, this place is the bomb. Pricey, but so well worth it.
Tangerine isn't just a fruit!!: This was truly a wonderful dining experience! From the white plates, to the peach table cloths and CLEAN silverware, not to mention the very attentive staff (Devon) was a great waiter. he started us off with two glasses of champagne and two glasses of a sparkling water. Now the meal; The bread basket was warm and consisted of a round poppy seeded dough, and a raisin bread lightly toasted with a very tasty dipping sauce. We ordered the Shrimp Pil-Pil, which is garlic shrimp served on a tasty tomato bread with a light sauce of parsley and olive oil. a chopped Mediterranean Salad with rock shrimp, feta, artichokes and olives. My entree was a tender Roasted Guinea Hen with a White Bean puree and my guest ordered the Australian Sea Bass Filet, lightly grilled and veggies served on a long white plate with roasted peppers, asparagus, eggplant, and Chick Peas mashed and rolled into a potato shape, enough for the both of us to share. We topped dinner off with a Glenlivet chilled for me and a German Reisling for her. For dessert I had the CHOCOLAT, CIOCOLATTE, CHOCOLATE a chocolate prailine torta, milk chocolate phyllo napolean, manjari mousse tower and my guest had LEMON SEMIFREDDO italian meringue, graham cracker cookie crust, lime granite' we topped the entire meal off with an expresso for me and a coffee for her.
Let me say that the ENTIRE MEAL was FANTASTIC and I will be going back again and again to sample what I missed. Chef Todd Fuller can burn and the Maitre' D was very nice, along with the rest of the staff.
GO THERE, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!
