This place is awesome. Not much to look at when you are there, but the food is delicious. Friends of ours turned us on to this place in 2003 and we have made it a regular trip ever since. We especially love the Pad Thai (Sp?).
Yum: i never tried vietnamieise food but its pretty good. I have to admit i dont like the big bowls of Phos as its very hard to eat with chopsticks as the nooldes keep sliding anywhere and i think its bascially a huge bowl of ramon noodle soup. But dont let my retarted eating skills stop you if you enjoy a pho dish as My friend who likes pho liked it. But the other non-soupy stuff is very delicious, i tried the Orders that come with Beef, Egg noodle, and small side of soup. yum. Always get a bubble tea afterwards so delicous. Mango(yum) and pennywort(an herby minty taste might not be for everyone) are nice smoothie tasting drinks. The milk tea is an iced bubble tea thats yummy, served hot but gradually cools with ice equally as yummy. The prices cant be beat. Cute little lunch place, maybe a nice place to get a cheap meal for dinner. atmospshere is a bit stuffy with all those tables, but its not packed most of the time if you are worried about that.
PS dont try the thing labeled as 'spicy beef verncelli?', it has pigs foot in it hehe.
BEST pho in PHILLY: This has got to be one of the best bowls of PHO I've had in the last two years living here in the East Coast. If you like tendon --- these folks give you the most TENDER parts. There is HOPE folks...
