| About: | Who makes the best cheesesteak? Pat's Steaks is a perennial heavyweight in the battle for the ultimate title among Philly cheesesteak makers. The thin steak strips, Italian rolls, hot peppers, onions and Cheeze Whiz (playfully called "whiz" or "cheddar" when ordering) are very popular anytime of the day or night. It's all outside seating, which can be a bit chilly in January. Most people order and then drive to a warm building to eat. |

This is overrated, and is really more of a landmark and a tourist spot to go. All they really have going for them is good fries. We stood in a long line to get a $9 sandwich that was mediocre. No flavor and no service, if you don't order right, they send you to the back of the line, till you learn how to order their way. Not worth the time, we thought we were getting this GREAT sanwich with all the celebrity pictures hanging above your head while waiting, not likely. But wait, I wouldn't go to Geno's either, same thing there. We are going to stick with Jim's Steak sandwiches.
Way better than Ginos, not as good as Jim's. That being said, still a fine sandwich.
Whats all the hoohaw. Convicts made our sandwich (genos wasnt any better), they put juvenile cheese wiz on it and condiments were absent. "What the heck you mean no condiments!!!". So much for those shows promoting food joints.
