About:	Fort Mifflin remained an active U.S. military stronghold from the Revolutionary War until it was decommissioned in 1959. The fort was the site of a 1775 battle of paramount importance between British and Colonial solders. In the U.S. Civil War, the installation was used to contain Confederate prisoners of war. Period uniform and weapons demonstrations are also performed regularly. The Fort is open to public from March to December.
